Commandant Ovye on tuesday 12th of November, received the Red Cross team led by Mr Moses Taiwowho doubles as the Senior Security Officer (SSO) of the International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) ABUJA CLUSTER which includes NIGERIA, BENIN REPUBLIC and GHANA.
He appreciated NSCDC in general for previous collaborations, expressing confident trust in the Corps to always deliver; he then solicited Collaboration in securing the aid available for distribution.
He solicited the Cooperation of all the Officers and men in the various Local Government Areas and Divisions of NSCDC Delta for better coverage of the state during the distribution exercise.
Mr. Moses hinted that the beginning of the exercise only covers Ethiope East, Isoko North, Isoko South and Burutu.
Commandant Mathew appreciated them for the confident trust reposed in NSCDC which propelled this historic visit.
He stated that taking care of vulnerable Nigerians helps the security agencies to lessen the burden of combatting crime. He refered to previous experiences in lokoja. Commandant Ovye urged them to do more in some places in Anambra, Isoko North, Isoko South, Burutu and other areas of Delta State likely to be affected by flood etc.
Commandant Ovye noted that NSCDC is aware of the impending dangers ahead an promises to be readily available whenever called upon.
