A new Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC) has been appointed in the Nasarawa State Command of the NSCDC. He is Commandant Muhammed Kabiru.
The outgoing Commandant Ismaila Abdullahi who has just retired handed at a hand over ceremony yesterday enjoined officers and men of the Nasarawa State Command to extend same hands of coopration to the new Commandant, stressing that change of leadership ”is part of the Corps’ strategic repositioning to enhance National Security and better respond to emerging challenges.”
The Newly redeployed Commandant holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the prestigious Bayero University Kano (BUK). He was enlisted into the Corps in 2005 and rose to the rank of Commandant of Corps in 2023.
He has served the Corps in various and different capacities. He was at different time served as Head of Training and Manpower Development, Technical Services, and Head of Operations Department, all in Delta State Command.
He also served as the Head of Disaster and Crisis Management as well as the Area Commander in Duste Jigawa State Command.
Until his redeployment, he was the Head of Intelligence and Investigations Department at the Zone ‘D’ Headquarters Kaduna, Kaduna state.
He attended various courses, including the Officers Basic Course from the Nigerian Correctional Service Training School in Owerri, Imo State, and the Senior Officers Small Arms Handling course from the Nigerian Correctional Service Staff College in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
