Zamfara state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) under the leadership of Commandant Sani Mustapha has had talks with his Zamfara State Correctional Service counterpart, Controller Ibrahim Shehu with a view to establishing a productive relationship with the two para military agencies.
The subsist alliance between the two sister-agencies was reinvigorated when the newly posted Controller of Correctional Service Ibrahim Shehu visited the command administrative headquarters in Gusau, confirming he was overwhelmed with the response and efforts put to reinforce and fortify the custodial centres in the state prior to the intended nationwide protest.
The Controller maintained he is here to improve the already existing bond between the NCoS and NSCDC and to further seek the Corps collaboration in heightening security at custodial centres through the looming nationwide protest and beyond to avert possible unwarranted scenarios.
Commandant Sani Mustapha in his response, reaffirmed commitment to ensuring every national asset and/or infrastructures in the state are well manned and secured. He further stated security agencies must bond and cooperate to achieve their mandates and the synergism with NCoS was birthed from inception, noting he shall see to its betterment in the state.
In conclusion, the state commandant insisted he will act harmoniously towards sister-agencies to make sure the security situation in the state is improved by providing adequate manpower to safeguard lives, properties and critical assets & Infrastructures within the state, proclaiming, security agencies are to synergize and compliment each other in national assignments.
