NSCDC DELTA CLAMPS DOWN ON VANDALS OF CRITICAL NATIONAL ASSETS, ARRESTS SUSPECT WITH SUSPECTED VANDALIZED ARMOURED CABLES

The Delta State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has apprehended one James Monday. James’s arrest was effected by the operatives of the NSCDC attached to Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSNL), The suspect was said to have been caught with about twenty (20) yards of suspected vandalized armoured cables.

This followed a tip-off from the NSCDC operatives who has been on a round-the-clock (24/7) surveillance.

The suspect who confessed to the crime, stated that he and his accomplice, one Collins now at large saw the armoured cables while they were picking scraps in the fenced premises, and they decided to steal it and sell it for illicit gains. It was in the process of waiting for his accomplice (Collins) who went to for a sack-bag that he was arrested and taken to the nearest NSCDC outpost for safe keeping.

Whilst Investigation is ongoing within the stipulated lawful period, upon conclusion they will be duly prosecuted at the competent court of law.

The Delta State Commandant, Commandant. Suleiman A. Jimoh has charged unsuspecting public to be vigilant and mindful of criminal elements who disguise as scavengers whenever they are around. As the popular slogan goes.
