NSCDC BOSS RECEIVES OIL AND GAS SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO CROSS RIVER GOVERNOR

The newly appointed Special Assistant to Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu on Oil and Gas, Ukpong Umoh Jr on Tuesday paid a courtesy call on the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Charles Brown in his office.

During the courtesy visit, the Special Adviser emphasized on collaboration and Cooperation between the Oil and Gas sector and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.

The Special Assistant described the NSCDC as a key sector that cannot be ignored, because of the relevance and sanctity of its mandate as it relates to oil and gas sector.

He decried a situation where there are no proper records of activities within the Oil and Gas sector promising not to use his office interfering in the affairs and workings of the NSCDC.

The Commandant in his response told the Special Adviser about the sharp practices by some filling State owners by way of shortchanging consumers through the adjustment of their meters which NSCDC has be striving to halt.
