In a conscious determination to provide water-tight security before, during and after the Yuletide, the Benue State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence, has deployed One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty personnel to provide security and ensure a peaceful and hitch free celebration in line with the Commandant General’s directive.
Commandant Yakubu Ibrahim, while speaking to the media at the Command Headquarters in Makurdi, affirmed that the deployment of officers and men is a product of a well coordinated and robust operational order geared towards achieving the following objectives.
“We must ensure that we are awake to enable Benue people sleep with their two eyes closed. The goal is to ensure that Critical National Assets and Infrastructures and other Public Utilities and Worship Centres are protected. Ensure that Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, and Location Commanders supervise and ensure compliance at the Areas of jurisdiction.” Commandant Ibrahim said.
CC Yakubu Ibrahim admonished Officers and men to be thorough, professional and operates within the perimeter of the Corps code of conduct and rule of engagements.
The Commandant urged every resident of the State to be law abiding and to collaborate with security agencies by providing actionable intelligence.
Ibrahim however wished the Executive Governor of Benue State His Excellency Rev Dr. Hyacinth Iormen Alia and Benue residents blissful Yuletide celebrations.
