PRIVATE GUARD COMPANY (PGC) 2023 STAKEHOLDERS FORUM WITH THE THEME “THE IMPACT OF PGC IN CROSS RIVER STATE”

As the year 2023 draws to a close it is imperative that the PGC stake holder came together to take stock of events within the year under review. It was on this strength that on Friday the 8th of December 2023 at the conference hall of the federal Secretariat Calabar the venue for this years forum were the State Commandant, Commandant Charles Brown delivered a Paper titled ” The Impact of PGCs in Cross River State highlighting its gains and future prospect.

The Commandant took them through the introduction and background study of PGCs in and around the world how it has evolved and the positive impact it has created in several Countries including Nigeria and Cross River State in particular. He mentioned such impact as job creation, creating an attractive business environment, providing intelligence to State actors for necessary action.

The Chairman who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Mr Kingsley Chris Akwa, MD Jackson security took the chairman’s opening speech, he used the opportunity to welcome the new HOD,PGC in the person of *DC. Chinyere Ukpe* and promised to work closely with her for a better PGC come 2024.

The HOD, PGC, Deputy Commandant *CP . Ukpe* thanked the Commandant for his support in making sure the stakeholders forum was a success, she equally thanked the Stakeholders for keeping fate with NSCDC,she promised to serve them better and at the same time soliciting their support in 2024 for a mutual benefits.

As the meeting progressed there were lots of questions and contributions from members as well as challenges and the way forward for the overall growth of PGCs in Cross River State. The forum ended with a strong resolve to work together as a family.
