The Zamfara State command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has reiterated its support of the Corps activities and operations, working closely with the State Hisbah Commission to eliminate social vices in the State.
The state NSCDC Commandant, Sani Mustapha stated this when he hosted the delegation of the Commission who paid him a courtesy visit at the State Headquarters on Wednesday, in Gusau.

He opined that Zamfara State is known for the practices of the Shariah law and that Hisbah Commission which is the enforcement arm of the state Government in ensuring that the tenets of the Shariah law are maintained will be given a boost in all operational activities within and outside Gusau metro.
He acknowledged that strict adherence to the Shariah injunctions could go a long way to eliminate social vices and insecurity in the state.
Earlier on, the management of Zamfara state Hisbah Commission led by the newly appointed Chairman Sheikh Hassan, extolled the doggedness of the Corps in the fight against crime and insecurity in the state.
Sheikh Umar Hassan therefore solicited for support of the NSCDC in the area of enforcement and arrest in order to enhance the smooth operations of the Commission.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of collaboration and support enjoyed in the past with the Corps and solicited for more cooperation to enable the Commission to deliver on its mandate in the state.
