Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Jigawa State Command have one Suleiman Murtala, over allegations of motorcycle theft ana trespasses, which according to a press release by the Command punishable under section 287 and 348 respectively of the penal code of Jigawa State.
a suspected notorious motorcycle on Wednesday, 20th day of September 2023 arrested one Suleiman Murtala ‘m’ aged 22 of Madara village, Azare LGA, Bauchi State on a suspected case of motorcycle theft and trespass contrary to section 286 and 342 punishable under section 287 and 348 respectively of the penal code law of Jigawa State.
The suspect who hails from Sundumina village, Birnin kudu LGA was arrested following a tip-off from where he has taken the stolen motorcycle to be sold at the village weekly market operating on Wednesdays.
Upon his arrest, he confessed to have sneaked into the house of his neighbor, one Malam Muhammad of same address, and a friend to his father, stole his Boxer Motorcycle and took it to Sundumina with intent to sell. He had hidden the motorcycle for before taking to the Village for sale.
The stolen motorcycle was valued at about N400.000.
The suspect confessed to the crime and charged to a Magistrate court in Birnin Kudu for prosecution.
