Speaking through the Head of the Peace and Conflict Unit DCC of the Plateau State NSCDC DCC Sambo Joseph Peter, the State Commandant reiterated the importance of peace building as a panacea for a happy nation.

Barunde further said there wouldn’t be a meaningful progress in society when there is no peace hence people must tolerate each other and coexist as one in spite of differences.

”While progress has been made towards achieving world peace, the challenges that persist remind us of the need for continued efforts and collective action. Governments, international organizations, civil society, and individuals must work together to address the root causes of conflicts, promote dialogue, foster understanding, and ensure equal opportunities for all. World Peace Day serves as a reminder of our shared responsibility to strive for a more peaceful and harmonious world.” said Commandant Barunde.
