Insecurity: Kaduna Community Sets Up Vigilante Group

Apparently worried by the continued security challenges confronting their community, the people of Alagbado in Kabala West of Kaduna South local government area of Kaduna State have established a vigilante group to complement the efforts of other security forces in their area.

At the commissioning of the security group, the leaders said they formed the vigilante group as part of measures to address cases of theft, robbery among others in the area.

The divisional police officer of Kabala West, Ibrahim Ishola commended the community for the effort and said it would assist the police and other sister security agencies to check crime.

CSP Ishola cautioned every troublemaker, robbers, criminals, terrorists and those who engage in acts inimical to peaceful coexistence to desist stressing that such persons will not be spared if caught., and also those who harbour or conspire with them,” he said.

Corroborating his position, the strike force commandant, S. Jallo and the Vigilante Group of Nigeria commandant, Kaduna State, lauded the community for the initiative and promised to give them the needed support.

The village head of Kabala Alhaji Yusuf solicited for synergy among all the security groups in order to achieve desired results.

The elders of the area who championed the idea, Alhaji Hamza Gbadebo, Pastor Williams Audu and Alhaji Ahmed Muaroof who served as chairman of the organizing committee solicited for help from well-meaning individuals to assist the group to ensure that their work is effective and efficient.

Commander of the Alagbado community vigilante group Abdulhafeez Adeyemo assured that they will do their best in collaboration with other security groups to reduce criminality to the barest minimum in the community.
