EKITI NSCDC RESCUES, REUNITES A TEENAGER TO HER FAMILY

On July 22, 2023, at about  1030 hours, officers and men, on routine patrol, found and rescued  one Oluwatoyin Omotosho (F), aged 20 at Aluko Garage, Ado-Ekiti. She was found straying on the Street.

 She was incoherent and has evidently sustained scars from physical assault. Items found on her include: food items she was on errands to hawk, and some money.

The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, in conjunction with th

e Persons with Disabilities Unit, made frantic effort to engage News Cruise FM and “Omo Edema” Radio Station to help inform  members of the public on the need to identify the parents/guardians of the girl.

Preliminary investigation shows that Oluwatoyin Omotosho is slightly disoriented.  Her instability must have ensued from a lack of a father-figure and emotional burden brought by her overbearing mother.

On July 23, 2023, one Mrs. Florence Omotosho 40 (f) (of Atiba Street Ikere-Ekiti as the mother of the child. Mr Bodunde Omotayo, (59) (m) equally turned up as a neighbor and acquaintance of the mother of the child. Both persons were identified by their National Identification Cards and committed to an undertaking to ensure the safety of the found girl.

Efforts are underway to enroll her in a school and put her through a rehabilitation process.
