KWARA NSCDC COMMANDANT CALLS FOR SYNERGY AMONG SECURITY AGENCIES

Amid the growing rate of security challenges in the country, an appeal has gone to the security operatives to further strengthen their synergy and to further close rank and work together to get rid of the criminal elements in the country.

The Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kwara State Command, Makinde Iskil Ayinla appealed on Thursday during the official commissioning and handing over of the NSCDC Divisional office at Idofin Igbana town in Oke Ero local government area of the State.

The Commandant, who decried the increase in criminal activities in most of the communities in the State charged the people of the community and Kwara State at large the security job a lot easier by providing intelligence information and useful tips that would go a long way in ensuring the security of lives and property in the State.

” I will like to appreciate good working relationship and synergy that among the security operatives in the State and I believe we will continue to work together while I will also like to use the opportunity to remind the good people of this community that security is the responsibility of everybody and we are banking on you people to help us with useful information and relevant intelligence report that will go a long way in ensuring peaceful coexistence of the people” The Commandant disclosed.

He thanked the people of the community and those who facilitated the prompt completion of the NSCDC divisional office adding that the civil defence office was coming at the right time with activities of kidnappers and other criminal elements are beginning to threaten the peaceful coexistence of the people of the area.

” We are also working on periodic meeting with farmers and herdsmen to ensure peaceful coexistence between them as you will all agree with me that one of the major threats to our security of lives and property in the State is the unabated clashes between farmers and herders and we have the belief that that will soon become a thing of the past in the State” he added.
The commissioning was witnessed by the Onidofin of Idofin Igbana Oba Samuel Fabiyi, President of the Idofin Igbana descendant union, Hon. Oni Joseph Adebayo, representatives of the service chiefs in the community and district heads.
