Easter: NSCDC tasks Commanders on security operations

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, Eweka Okoro, yesterday, implored tactical commanders, officers and men of the command to brace up in security operations following the upcoming Easter celebration in the country.
   
Okoro spoke during the Corps’ quarterly strategic security meeting with management staff, area commanders, divisional officers and tactical commanders, at the pavilion, in the state command’s headquarters, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos.
    
According to a statement by the Assistant Superintendent of Corps I(ASCI), Abolurin Oluwaseun, the commandant appreciated the Commandant General (CG), Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for deploying a brand new ambulance to Lagos Command, and other states to manage disaster.
   
Okoro tasked officers on continuous pursuit of the Corps’ mandates in the state.”
    
The commandant also applauded CG Ahmed, for the development of new strategies to secure the nation’s critical national assets and infrastructure and eradicate the spate of killing and kidnapping in the nation.
  
He said: “ Let me commend CG Ahmed for his laudable record within a short time in office, in the area of procurement of vehicles, training and re-training of personnel, deployment of brand new ambulances to some international airports in the nation, including the Lagos Airport, to respond and manage disasters, payment of promotion arrears to eligible officers and development of new strategies to secure the nation’s critical national assets and infrastructure.”
