Police decorate 92 promoted officers in Bauchi

The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Police Command, Auwal Mohammed, on Wednesday, decorated 92 newly promoted officers with their new ranks at the state headquarters in  Yandoka Road, Bauchi.

According to a press release issued by the command on Wednesday, it stated that the promoted officers were the command’s Public Relations Officer, PPRO Ahmed Mohammed Wakil; the Divisional Police Officer, Soro, Mohammed Goni; the Officer in-charge of the Works Department of the command, David Silas; were all decorated with the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police.

The statement maintained that the beneficiaries for the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) included: “The DSP Amiru Garba  Ahmed, Officer in-charge of Gender section; the Staff Officer Inspectorate, DSP Golda Wubatwe Fittoka; and the Staff Officer for Junior Matters, DSP Umar Mukhtar; among others.

“The beneficiaries of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police included: the Ag Admin Officer at the Rapid Response Squad, ASP Idriss Kumo and the Staff Officer in the Department of Operations, ASP Abdussalam Suleiman; among others.”

While congratulating the officers, Auwal Muhammad charged them to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, dedication, integrity, and transparency in the course of their duties.
