Bandits have attacked a Catholic parish in Chawai, Kauru council of Kaduna State, kidnapping the parish priest, Rev Fr Joseph Shekari and killing his cook.
The cook was reportedly shot twice.
Catholic Chancellor, Kafanchan Diocese, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Okolo confirmed the development in a statement, saying, “The sad event occurred on Sunday, February 06, 2022 at about 11.30pm.
