The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), yesterday, treated some orphans in the state to a Yuletide celebration with lots of gifts and food.
The state Commandant of the Corps, Emmanuel Ocheja, in the company of other officers, visited an orphanage home, Sarah Adetutu Children Foundation, in Osogbo, to celebrate the festive period with the orphans and urged them not to lose hope of becoming great in life.
Ocheja, who narrated how he became an orphan at a tender age, said he was confronted with challenges but was resolute.
He said he thought of his past and decided to visit the home and share the festive moment with them.
“Please, don’t give up in this life. It is only God that knows what you (the children at the orphanage) will be tomorrow.”
He donated food items and drinks to the home and commended the handlers for helping humanity.
