The Commander of Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Ondo State Command, CN Nanzing Daniel Sallah, has paid a visit to the state headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State command, and stressed the need to collaborate to fight illicit drug usage among students in Ondo State.
During the visit that took place earlier in the week, the State nacortic Commander said, “I have come to let you know that a new sheriff is in town and to seek your support and partnership in executing this national assignment.
NSCDC and NDLEA in Taraba State, where I am coming from, is like Siemens twin, fostering inseparable relationships. I want to replicate this synergy here, especially in the area of safe school operation where NSCDC is the lead agency.” He submitted
Commandant Oluyemi Ibiloye, CPO, in his remarks, elugise the former NDLEA Commander in the state and reiterated the commitment of all the security commanders in the state in ensuring a peaceful sunshine state.
Commandant Ibiloye said the command under his watch will not cease to collaborate with NDLEA in riding the state of illegal substances with a focus on schools.
“There is a nexus between crime and the use of illicit drugs. Most crimes in the state are drug abuse induced, and we will join forces to fight it to a stand still.” Ibiloye avowed.
