NIGERIA ARMY SEEKS SUSTAINED PARTNERSHIP WITH NSCDC IN SECURING KWARA

The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kwara State Command, Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed, played host to the newly appointed Commander of the 22 Armoured Brigade, Nigerian Army, Brigadier General O.D. Williams, at the State Command Headquarters in Ilorin on Monday, 07 October 2024.

During the visit, Brigadier General O.D. Williams stressed the vital role of inter-agency collaboration, calling for enhanced cooperation and intelligence sharing between the military and the NSCDC to maintain peace and security in the state.”

He commended the effective synergy between the Army and the NSCDC, pointing out how it has substantially improved the success of joint efforts in safeguarding lives and property in the state. He encouraged the State Commandant to preserve and strengthen this cooperation.”

In his response, Commandant Umar J.G. Mohammed expressed his gratitude for the visit and reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to working closely with the Nigerian Army to ensure the safety and security of the citizens
