The Newly deployed Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Nasarawa State Command, Comdt., Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa was received today 4th October, 2024, by His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, The Governor of Nasarawa State , at the Government House in Lafia, the State capital.
The Governor welcomed the new Commandant, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the state government and security agencies in maintaining law and order .
He expressed his administration’s commitment to supporting the NSCDC in its efforts to ensure public safety and security.
The Commandant thanked the Governor for the warm reception and assured him of his dedication to serving the people of Nasarawa State. He outlined his strategy for tackling security challenges, focusing on community engagement, intelligence gathering, and proactive response to threats.
It is pertinent to focus on strengthening ties between the state government and security agencies to address emerging security concerns, building trust and partnerships with local communities to prevent crime and maintain law and order, implementing effective strategies to respond to security threats and prevent escalation, the NSCDC Boss said.
Governor Sule, reiterated his commitment to providing the necessary support to ensure the success of the NSCDC’s initiatives in Nasarawa State. The meeting concluded with Commandant Muhammed Kabiru Ingawa presented his Letter of Assumption of office to His Excellency
