The helmsman of the Edo Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Gbenga Agun, has assured the people of Edo State of the professionalism and ethical conduct of its personnel before, during, and after the governorship election next weekend.
Speaking during a sensitization walk in Edo State, Commandant Agun emphasized the readiness of the operatives of the NSCDC to comply with the ethical dictates of the corps, with a view to ensuring peace and a conducive atmosphere before, during, and after the election.
Commandant Agun said that the walk was to encourage the electorate to embrace peace during the election.
“We want to assure the people of Edo that we are ready to work with all stakeholders to ensure a peaceful election. We say no to brutality, violence, intimidation, terrorism, hooliganism, snatching of ballot boxes, and any form of lawlessness. We say yes to peace, non-violence, civility, respectfulness, and lawfulness,” he said.
