As part of commitments of the State Commandant of NSCDC Katsina Command to boost the capacity of personnel for better performance, promote Safety and Security through Public engagements, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Katsina State Command in collaboration with Computer Business Operators Society of Nigeria (COMBOS) Katsina State Chapter has organized 2-day Digital Literacy and Cyber Awareness training 9-10 September, 2024 at the Command Headquarters Katsina.
Personnel were drawn from Departments, Units, Area and Divisional offices across the State.
In his remarks the State Commandant emphasized the relevance of training and retraining of personnel to enhance their capacity for better performance.Represented by the Head of Administration and Personnel, DCC Ibrahim Babanuman Bako, Commandant Indabawa reiterated that personnel need to be exposed to the world of digital technology and Cyber Awareness to respond to the trend of cyber Security threats.He further commended the partners for their commitments and charged all the participants to give the training all the necessary attention.
In his inaugural address, the President Computer Business Operators Society of Nigeria (COMBOS) Katsina State Chapter Engineer Usman M Abbas reiterated the commitments of the society to collaborate with Security agencies in promoting safety and Security in the Cyber space.
Engineer further disclosed that the training covered Basic Computer skills, Cyber Security Awareness, Internet Safety and Security, Cyber threats and how to protect against them, Data Privacy and Protection, Contemporary opportunities in Digital world, blockchain technology, Digital market and Basic Graphic Design and
Social media best practices.
