MATTHEW OVYE TAKES OVER AS DELTA NSCDC COMMANDANT

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Delta State Command has received a new Commandant. He’s Mr Matthew Sunday Ovye.

on Tuesday, 17th of September, 2024, received a new state Commandant.

Commandant Ovye who arrived the State Command Headquarters, Asaba at about 1220hrs, was introduced to the management staff of the Command by the outgoing state Commandant, Mr Suleiman Agboola Jimoh.

Commandant Ovye, an astute Combatant, Educationist and core professional took over the reins of Command and immediately hit the ground running with a meeting with the management staff of the Command.

He charged officers to reinvigorate their stance for professionalism in the discharge of their duties and brace up for the changes ahead as it is not going to be business as usual. He hinted officers on his working principles which is anchored on professionalism, intelligence gathering and protection of critical assets of the government.

The State Commandant, a tested and proven Administrator of immense repute didn’t hide his distaste for Indiscipline and laziness among officers and warned strictly that such vices will not be tolerated.

He asked the management staff to ensure the field officers under them observe proper dressing code, Code of conduct and Rules of engagement in the discharge of their duties.

He assured all relevant stakeholders of his resolve to oversee all activities geared towards the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure in the State.

Commandant Ovye concluded by assuring officers of a more Purposeful and rewarding Administration which will promote the image of the Corps in Delta state.
