EDO NEW POLICE BOSS, NEMI IWO SOLICITS FOR MORE IMPROVED SYNERGY, COLLABORATION BETWEEN POLICE AND NSCDC

The Edo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Gbenga Agun has received in audience the new Edo State Police Commissioner, Mr. Nemi Iwo who assumed duties as 47th Police Commissioner in the state.

The new police boss sought for a more valid and result-oriented collaborative drive between the police and NSCDC in the state, stating that the visit to the State Command of the NSCDC was to familiarize with and pledge his continuous support and collaboration with NSCDC in the fight against criminality in the state.

”The election is fast approaching, I am here to emphasize to all and sundry especially the public that we are partners in progress, and being partners, criminals cannot take advantage of us, the synergy we have forge today will be strong and adequate enough to deal with criminals, we will work assiduously to develop a robust relationship to deal with security challenges before, during and after the election.” said the police boss.

In his response Commandant Agun thanked the new police boss for the visit and emphasized the long-time relationship between the NSCDC and the police in the state, stressing that many gains had been achieved in the area of combating criminality in the state.
