The State Commandant, Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps, Ebonyi State Command, Dr Elijah Willie says the Civil Defence and Nigerian Army have a common enemy in the miscreants.
He made the remark when he received in audience, the new 24 support engineer regiment and cantonment commander, Nigerian Army, Nkwegu military cantonment, Abakaliki, Lt Col Audu Bako on a courtesy visit.
Commandant Willie assured the commander of a hundred percent support as they battle the common enemy to a standstill. He observed that the army and civil Defence often find themselves in alliance because of their similarities in loyalty, discipline and operational modalities.
Commandant Willie asserted: “I am happy to have you here. I promise you 100% support. Together, we can save Ebonyi State. I promise you synergy. Any time I have distress, I’ll not hesitate to call you because, where I’m coming from I always have a fine relationship with the military”
He further wished the commander a very happy and fruitful stay in Ebonyi State.
The Commander, Bako had earlier thanked the Commandant for according him a warm reception, stating he was on a mission to sustain the cordial relationship and bond between the two agencies; having been posted newly to Ebonyi State
