Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, NSCDCCG
The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has warned the operatives of the Corps participating in the security operations of tomorrow’s election to stay away from partisan politics and avoid any provocation that could lead to unprofessional conduct.
Speaking early this morning, the Corps Deputy Commandant and Head of Operations, DCG Philip Ayuba, who spoke on behalf of the Commandant General to the assigned operatives at the Edo State headquarters of the Corps, explained that the operatives are bound to ethically and professionally stick to their mandate and avoid partisan politics and all manners of provocation.
“We are reputed to be one of the most highly disciplined security agencies, and Nigerians rely on us a great deal for the provision of security and maintaining peace. This explains why we should not attempt to do anything that would tarnish our enviable image. Our mandate is our core value, and nothing whatsoever should be allowed to affect it.” said DCG Ayuba
