The Sokoto Helmsman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant B. A Argungu has deployed a total number of NSCDC operatives to check and thwart any form of breaches to public peace and stability before, during and after Yuletide period.
According to a statement released by the office of the Commandand’s Pblic Relations Officer, Commandant Argungu has directed the deployment to all the worship and recreational centres and the continuous patrols to all nook and crannies within the metropolis.
While assuring the general public of the Corps’ readiness to collaborate with all the sister security agencies in the state to ensure a hitch free Christmas and new year celebrations, Commandant Argungu appealed to Sokoto residents to continue to be law abiding and support all security formations in the State especially by relaying credible intelligence for proactive measures.
