Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command has deployed 780 operatives. across the State to take charge of security ahead of Christmas and New year celebrations in order to ensure a hitch free yuletide season.
The State Commandant, Muhammad Bello Muazu has directed Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and Tactical Commanders drawn from the counter terrorism unit CTU, Special weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) to ensure adequate personnel are deployed at all vulnerable points across the State and also to safeguard all places of worships, critical infrastructures, designated markets, motor parks including recreational centers.
Commandant Muazu therefore, appealed to the members of the general public to be moderate in their celebration.
He maintained that personnel will display a high sense of vigour and professionalism while discharging their duties.
He equally assured members of the public that the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC) Gombe State Command would be polite and civil but firm in ensuring security and safety of lives and properties.
