Yuletide: Jigawa NSCDC Commandant, Mohammed Danjuma Orders Massive Deployment Of Personnel, Warns Vandals To Stay Away From Govt Installations

In an effort to record a peaceful and hitch free Yuletide in the State, the Jigawa State Commandant, Muhammed Danjuma has ordered for a massive deployment of personnel in order to provide watertight security within the 27 Local Government Areas in the State, before, during and after the Yuletide.

The deployment cut across regular as well as specialised Units including Operations, Anti-Vandal, Agro Rangers, Armed Squad, Counter Terrorism, CBRNE, Intelligence and Investigation, Disaster Management and Medical Units respectively.

Specific emphasis is made on worship places, public utilities, recreational centers, government installations, motor parks, markets, malls, and other identified dark areas. Entrance and exit routes to the State were also manned including borders for a stop and search operations.

While addressing officers and men ahead of the deployment, the State Commandant charged officers to uphold the Corps Standard Operational Procedures (SOP) in carrying out their responsibilities. He also warned them to be civil in their conducts and use minimal force where necessary. He emphasize on synergy and collaboration with other law enforcement agencies for a successful exercise.

The general public were advised to be cooperative, vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest security formation. Parents were equally enjoined to look after their wards and always know their movements. They should also desist from using fireworks and knockouts capable of causing panic and fire mishaps.

The State Commandant strongly admonished vandals to stay away from Government Installations, buildings and public utilities as anyone caught will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

Commandant Danjuma, on behalf of the entire officers and men of the Command finally wished the Christian community merry Christmas and a happy new year to all residents.
