Gombe NSCDC Commandant, Muhammad Bello Muazu has advocated strong collaboration between the security agencies and traditional vigilante groups.

Gombe State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command, CC Muhammad Bello Muazu received the leadership of Bojude Community on a courtesy visit in appreciation of the Corps’ presence and its activities in the area.
Speaking during the courtesy visit of the District Head of Bojuɗe, Engineer Muhammad Ibrahim, informed the State Commandant appealed for more support and cooperation from the community members to security agencies, while charging Bojuɗe residents to report any suspicious movement and strange faces to nearest security agencies for prompt actions.
He also cautioned members of the community against accommodating criminals and their informants, maintaining that the informants are even more dangerous than major culprits.
He advised traditional leaders of the community to devise means of profiling strangers and new settlers in their domains, for onward notification to security agencies.
The Commandant said the measure will go a long way to address the atrocities of bandits and kidnappers whom he said are increasingly targeting areas like Gombe State.
