NSCDC Nabs Suspected Killer Of Herder In Osun

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), on Friday, confirmed the arrest of the suspected killer of a herder murdered at Talamu village, Ago-owu in Ayedaade Local Government of Osun State.

The body of the victim, whose name was not ascertained, was reportedly found in the bush at Ago Owu Farm Settlement, on Thursday.

The spokesperson of the NSCDC in the state, Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed that the suspected killer was identified by a survivor of the incident.

“The Seriki Fulani of Ìjèbú Igbó reported the case at Orile Owu Police Station. A personnel of the corps was also present during the evacuation of the corpse from the farm.Ezoic

“It has been confirmed that the apprehended suspect, Paul Amaechi – a Tiv by tribe and farmer upon whose farmland the Fulani herdsmen grazed, killed the man.

“The survivor of the ambush arrived at the Orile Owu Police Station on Friday and identified him as the one who attacked them and killed his co-herder. He, afterward, made a confessional statement and affirmed the identification made by the Fulani survivor,” NSCDC said.
