…Harps on Collaboration, Synergy in the Areas of Capacity Building, Training, Amongst Others
The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command Headquarters, Abeokuta, Commandant David Idowu Ojelabi received Hon. Wemmy Osude, the Chairman, Ilisan Community Development Initiatives, at his Dekudu Village Office on Thursday, November 23, 2023.
The Chairman outlined the various development indices around Ilisan Community and its environs and sought the State Commandant’s approval of an adequate security protection for the fast growing community.
In his submission, he noted that the community is fast growing due to the Babcock University at Ilisan-Remo especially due to the university’s hundred percent hostel policy.
Part of his argument for a division for the community is also the world class and top notch health care facility being offered by the university for the community members and other adjoining neighborhoods resulting to influx of high number of persons into the community.
He further added that the university hosts high profile and eminent personalities children and wards who could be targets of kidnapping, abduction and other nefarious acts.
The State Commandant while welcoming the visitor and his team noted that the State Commandants across the federation have the approval of the Commandant General to collaborate anyone and organisations that make demands for public good after appropriate assessments and deliberations have been established.
The State Commandant therefore requested a committee be formed to look into the new divisional command ensuring all expected facilities such as: armoury amongst others are inculcated into the structure.
