Kogi NSCDC Records 27 Criminal Cases, Secures 19 Judgements

Apart from other numerous civil cases being handled since Commandant Ahmed Ahmed Gandi assumed duties as a substantive Commandant of the Kogi Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on January 31 this year, the Corps has confirmed that the Gandi-led Kogi NSCDC has prosecuted 27 criminal cases in competent various courts of jurisdiction, out of which 19 judgements have been secured, and the culprits serving various jail terms in various correctional facilities across the state.

Commandant Gandi has changed the operational order of the State Command in accordance with the vision and mission of the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abbakar Audi who has expressed his zero-level tolerance for criminal and civil disturbance activities in all the NSCDC Commands.

DSC Abdullahi Aliyu, the spokesman of the Command, made the disclosure in an interview with the People’s Security Monitor, on Wednesday in Lokoja, Kogi State capital.

He said: “The criminal cases were related to theft; rape, vandalism, illegal sim cards registration, drug abuse, assault and fraud among others.
