NSCDC Boss Backs Move To Float Group Of Schools

Commandants General, of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Audi, has backed moves by the Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association, (CDOWA), to begin full academic take off of its, group of schools.

He said the schools has been playing a vital role at ensuring personnel children have access to quality education

The CG made this known while hosting the National Executive Committee (EXCO) of the association led by it’s President, Hajiya Aisha Audi in his office at the NSCDC’s national headquarters in Abuja yesterday.

In a statement by the Corps national Public Relations Officer (PRO), Babawale Afolabi, Audi said he had visited the Universal Basic Education Board(UBEC) to fine-tune discussions with regards to the CDOWA groups of Schools and have reached an appropriable state which will soon manifest in the site seeing and erection of the school,

“We will at management level also look into the possibility of having a mini launching to raise some funds and support you our wives in this wise…”

He appreciated the officer’s wives for doing a good job in keeping the home front by giving their husbands peace which he said translated into optimal productivity in the office,

“I want to thank you very much for keeping the peace at home while we are out on the field fighting for the peace of our country as I have not received any negative reports from my colleagues…”

The NSCDC’s boss directed that the profile of the teachers of the school be made available to him and assured of adequate and appropriate welfare.

Earlier, CDOWA President appreciated the contributions and support of the Corps helmsman and appealed to the corps to look into the i ssues surrounding the school building.

“I want to thank you (the CG) for the approval of the CDOWA groups of schools building and to continue deliberations on the take-off”.

She informed the CG that they have obtained approval for the academic takeoff of the school from the Quality Assurance of the Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) and will want to commence in earnest.
