The Department of State Security (DSS) has arrested a woman for allegedly threatening to kill herself and those responsible for the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Kano State, Nasiru Gawuna, at the Election Petitions Tribunal.
It will be recalled that the Kano State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal ordered the withdrawal of certificate of return issued to Governor Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and directed that the certificate be issued to the APC governorship candidate in the March 18 election, Dr. Nasir Gawuna, as the rightful winner of the poll.
According to a report published by an online newspaper, Newspoint Nigeria, on Tuesday, the 23-year-old woman, Fiddausi Ahmadu, claimed to be fighting for the cause of NNPP and Governor Yusuf, in a viral video clip circulated in Kano.
In the clip, Fiddausi was overheard in Hausa attacking the Tribunal chairman, warning that anywhere she sees the Judge, she (Fiddausi) won’t mind holding her with a bomb to commit suicide.
Also, the lady warned Gawuna, saying, “You dare not indicate your location, otherwise, I don’t mind striking you with a bomb vest to commit suicide.”
Speaking further, she attacked Vice President Kashim Shettima, calling him names and blaming him for being behind the legal predicament of the NNPP in Kano State.
“We are indeed taking Fiddausi Musa Ahmadu to court because these threats should not be taken lightly,” a source told the online newspaper.
