The lmo State Police Command has stated that it is doing everything humanly possible to secure Major General R C Duru’s (rtd) release.
Duru was kidnapped last week in Orji, near Owerri, in the state’s Owerri north local government area.
In a statement, Mohammad Ahamade Barde, Commissioner of Police in Imo, said that he immediately dispatched the command’s tactical team to secure the General’s release upon hearing the news.
“We are on top of the matter; those involved will certainly be made to face the full wrath of the law.”
