The Special Adviser on Political Affairs to Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State, Alhaji Illiyasu Buhari Maijega, has called on the Federal Government to provide more security support to tackle banditry in the state.
He made the appeal while briefing newsmen at his office in Gusau, the state capital.
Maijega noted that the appeal became imperative as bandits continue to ravage the entire state, emphasizing the urgent need to eliminate their activities in affected areas.
“A single individual cannot resolve the issue of insecurity in Zamfara State; it is a collective responsibility,” he stated.
He also urged the people of the state to continue praying for peace and stability, stressing that no society can develop without peace.
Maijega commended the Nigerian Army and other security agencies for their efforts in combating insecurity in the state and encouraged them to sustain their efforts for the sake of security.
