The Civil Defence Officers’ Wives Association (CDOWA), Ogun State Chapter held her expanded statutory meetings on Saturday, the 2nd of September 2023 at the Conference Hall, Ogun State Headquarters, Owu Dekudu Village, Off Kobape Road, Abeokuta.
The meeting was presided over by the Chairperson, Mrs. Comfort Ojelabi, wife of the State Commandant, Commandant David Idowu Ojelabi.
In her speech, Mrs. Ojelabi welcomed all CDOWA members on behalf of the National President, Hajia Aisha Ahmed Audi, wife of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi.
She however enjoined all members to have confidence in the association, as she believes that under her watch the association will experience tremendous progress as all hands must be on deck to achieve this onerous tasks and feats.
In her exact words “No doubt today is going to be a special day because I strongly believe that at the end of this meeting, the association in this State Command will never remain the same again; there will be positive changes and a lot of progress”.
She equally urged all members to forgive one another as this is the first step towards the healing process thereby forging ahead as a united front while focusing also on the ideals, aspirations and ideologies of the National President for a progressive development across all the State Commands.
She further appealed to members to be committed, dedicated and to always remember and work with the slogan of the association: Peace at home! Peace in the nation!!
The expanded CDOWA meeting was characterized by exchange of ideas on pertinent issues, merriments and group photographs amongst others.
