GOVERNOR DAUDA LAWAL LAUDS NSCDC, SEEKS MORE SUPPORT

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawak Dare has given kudos to the Nigeria Security and Cvil Defence Corps for living up to its responsibilities as demended by its mandate.

Governor Dare who was on a working visit to the Abuja NDCDC Headquarters last Friday in Abuja disclosed since assumption of duties he has been consulting with relevant stakeholders on how to find lasting solution to the lingering spate of insecurity in the State. 

The governor however decried spate of kidnappings, cattle rustling and banditry in the State while enormous contributions of the NSCDC to secure lives and property in the State. 

“I am here today to show the appreciation of the good people of Zamfara State on the Corps immeasurable contributions to the securing of lives and property in Zamfara State. We are proud of the Corps because of your exceptional and professional conduct and modus operandi that has gone a long way in our quest to restore peace and tranquility in the State.” 

Governor Dare Lawal requested for more from the NSCDC in terms of personnel and other logistics adding that the State is ready to contribute their own in order to make sure that the security agencies in the State perform and carry out their duties effectively. 

In his response, the Commandant General of the NSCDC Dr. Abubakar Audi, commended the commitment, determination and patriotic zeal of the Governor in his quest to ensure security of lives and property in the State.

The NSCDC CG however re-emphasized the Corps’ commitment to finding lasting solution to the insecurity menace in Zamfara State, while assuring the governor that NSCDC will deploy more personnel with necessary logistic back up to further strengthen the NSCDC presence in the State.
