Youth Group Supports NSCDC Boss’s Call For Relocation Of Oil Thieves

Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, NSCDC Boss

The call for the relocation of all oil thieves across the country by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has been backed by a good governance and accountability group, South-South Youths Initiative.

It was reported on Monday that the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Ahmed Audi, advised oil thieves in all producing areas to exit the country.

He warned that those who stay in the country intending to continue with the nefarious have his men to contend with, adding that the NSCDC under him would not condone compromise from any person in the ongoing war against oil thieves.

In a press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, the group, through its national president, Imeabe Oscar, lauded the action of the NSCDC boss to stop oil thieves from vandalising the nation’s treasury.

“The action of the NSCDC on the call for the relocation of oil thieves would not only stop them from vandalising the nation’s treasury but also prevent environmental pollution.

“The NSCDC boss has shown a level of seriousness to tame oil thieves across the country and this is laudable,” Oscar said.

Oscar further highlighted the exemplary leadership of Audi since assuming office and acknowledged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support in empowering the Corps to effectively execute its duties.
