NSCDC COMMANDANT GENERAL SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE SQUAD ARRESTS TWO KINGPINS FOR BANDITRY, KIDNAPPING, CATTLE RUSTLING IN NASARAWA

The NSCDC Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad has arrested two suspects who specialize in kidnapping, banditry and cattle rustling terrorizing, Akiri, Azara Namu and Quan’pan, areas of Nasarawa, Taraba and Plateau States.

Operatives of the Special Intelligence Squad effected the arrest after receiving and verifying credible information about the activities of bandits, kidnappers and cattle rustlers in the aforementioned areas.

Parading the suspects at the Command Headquarters in Lafia, the State Commandant, Abbas Bappa Muhammed who spoke through the Public Relations Officer, DSC Jerry Victor said one of the suspects, 30-year-old Abdullahi Laru Abubakar who hails from Turyan Village of Kwande district of Quan’pan local government area of Plateau State was arrested based on intelligence report.

Abdullahi Laru Abubakar confessed to have called on his gang member simply identified as Umar, Duware and Ango (still at-large) all from Kwande area to rustle 10 cattle belonging to one Alhaji Sule Yamusa aka ‘Alhaji. Amo’, of Akiri area in Azara Development Area in Awe local government area of Nasarawa State.

The second suspect, Danlami Ahmadu 40 years from Angwan Kurmi Kwande district of Quan’pan local government area of Plateau State was arrested for receiving four (4) rustled cattle from Duware one of the gang members. He confessed to have conveyed the cattle to Gidan Maiwa in Bauchi where he sold 2 for N440,000.

The State Commandant however called on the good people of the state to make available credible and reliable information to security agencies closer to them for prompt action.
