Three Fulani children kidnapped by bandits at Gwanda, in Gurdi Ward of Abaji area council of Abuja have gained their way out of captivity after their kidnappers slept off.
Wozhe Ishaya, who’s the councillor representing Gurdi Ward, while confirming the development to newsmen on the telephone on Thursday, explained that the victims were kidnapped on Tuesday night.
He narrated that the bandits stormed the community around 11pm and took away the three children whom were reported to be of the ages, 12, 14 and 16 years old respectively.
“But as God will have it, the bandits slept off and they didn’t tied them when the three Fulani boys quietly escaped from their den back to their settlement at Gwanda village,” he said.
He revealed that bandits also went away with some rams to their den for their own personal use.
Abubakar Sadauna, the district head of Gulida, while confirming the development, condemned the manner the community was attacked by the bandits’.
The mouthpiece of the FCT Police Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, has not replied to a text message forwarded to her about development.
