Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP, Monday Bala Kuryas says the command has emplaced aggressive patrols, stop and search, and show of strength with other security agencies to ensure tight security arrangements before, during and after the festive season.
In addition, he said it has deployed sufficient personnel and operational assets to Eid-el praying grounds, recreation centres, parks and other public places across the twenty-five (25) LGAs in the State.
The state Police Command made this disclosure in a press statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, PRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun on behalf of CP Kuryas in Minna.
The Statement said, “consequently, Operation Order has been issued while Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs have been directed to ensure apparent visibility policing during the festive period through constant supervision of officers and men deployed for the season with regards to standard operating procedures and respect for human rights”.
While felicitating with Nigerlites and Muslim faithful in the State on the Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration, the CP urged the followers to abide by its symbolism which connotes holiness, perseverance, tolerance and love.
He equally appreciated Nigerlites for their support and enjoined them to continue to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies by providing adequate information for a secured environment.
Kuryas then wishes all Muslim Ummah in the State a joyous and hitch-free celebration.
