NSCDC seizes boats, trucks filled with stolen oil products

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has impounded four trucks, two wooden boats and four cars laden with illegally-refined Automated Gas Oil (AGO).

Spokesman of the NSCDC in the state, Olufemi Ayodele, paraded 14 suspects in Port Harcourt yesterday.

He said the arrests were made possible following the marching orders given by the state commandant, Abu Tambuwal, who on assumption of duty mainatined that the war against illegal bunkering in Rivers was not negotiable.

Ayodele attributed the feat to strategic efforts by the command to combat the menace of oil theft, illegal refineries, oil bunkering and illegal dealings on petroleum products in the state.
