Gombe State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Samuel Wabulari, has denied a viral memo suggesting that Fulani-herders had prepared to launch an attack on Billiri Local Government.
The memo as sighted by our correspondent was signed on 17th December 2021 by one Danjuma Mohammed, the Divisional Officer in charge of Yalmatu Deba, who claimed that it was based on an intelligence report.
According to Wabulari, there was never such intelligence, stressing that the corps has appropriate means of quelling such without resorting to causing undue panic.
Represented by Deputy Corps Commandant Ibrahim Meswok, Wabulari said the alleged investigation has not been presented to him formally, so there was no authenticity of the viral memo with the subject ‘Submission on Intelligence Report on the 17th December 2021 | |
