Days After Their Capture, 14 Abductees Escape From Bandits’ Camp In Sokoto

Fourteen people were reported to have escaped days after after their detention in a camp known to be owned and operated by a notorious bandits kingpin, Bello Turji in Sokoto State.

Sources disclosed that the abductees who were said to be camped in Suruddubu in Isa Local Government Area on Saturday bolted for freedom when their captors went out for other ‘operations’.

The incident was later confirmed by Alhaji Abubakar Yusuf, the Chairman of the Area Council, who disclosed that he had instructed the authority where the abductees were being treated to give them (abductees) prompt medical attention, especially those wounded by the kidnappers.
