As the festive season approaches, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command has intensified security measures to ensure a peaceful and joyful Christmas and New Year celebration for residents and visitors, before during and after the Celebrations.
In a proactive move to prevent crime and maintain law and order, the Command has deployed eight hundred and fifty 850 Officers and Men across the State. This strategic deployment covers all the eleven Local Government Areas, focusing on critical locations such as:
1. Places of worships
2. Motor parks
3. Recreational centers
4. Critical assets both public and private
The deployed personnel are drawn from specialized units, including:
1. Operations Department
2. Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit
3. Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU)
4. Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI)
5. Agro Rangers Unit
6. Mining Marshal and the
Intelligence Department.
State Commandant, CC Gyama Gyawiya emphasized, “The safety and security of our citizens is our top priority. We urge everyone to remain vigilant, celebrate with moderation, and report any security concerns to NSCDC or sister security agencies.”
The Command has established a robust collaboration with other security agencies to ensure a hitch-free celebration. Residents are encouraged to cooperate with security personnel and report suspicious activities.

3. Monitoring of strategic highways
4. Intelligence gathering and surveillance
