NSCDC Redeploys 1,600 Personnel For Christmas Operations In Edo

The Edo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has redeployed 1,600 operatives for special operations to ensure peaceful celebration of Christmas and New Year in the state.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Efosa Egbebor, on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the operatives were drawn from various tactical units, including the Operations Department, Anti-Vandal Unit, Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) Unit, Counter Terrorism Unit, and the Special Female Squad (SFS), among others.

The Commandant of the NSCDC in Edo, Gbenga Agun, said the personnel will be stationed at key public places such as markets, recreational centers, places of worship, and critical national assets across the state.
