Recently, the Enugu State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), led by State Commandant Dr. Elijah Etim Willie, played host to officials of the Man O’ War Nigeria, Enugu State Command, at the Command’s premises. The visit, which was held at the NSCDC’s Mediation Hall, served to foster synergy between the two security organizations.
The Man O’ War delegation, led by their State Commander, Mr. M.C. Taiwo James, comprised several key executives, including the Public Relations Officer, DSM Victor Charles, and ASM Nwaye Stephen. During the meeting, representatives from both organizations introduced themselves and briefly outlined their respective roles and responsibilities.
The Man O’ War team provided an overview of their history and core functions as a youth-based community and security service organization operating under the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports. Commander Taiwo emphasized the longstanding relationship between the Man O’ War and the NSCDC, expressing his gratitude for the collaboration they have shared in maintaining peace and security, particularly in youth engagement and discipline.
In his remarks, Dr. Elijah Etim Willie, the State Commandant of the NSCDC, commended the Man O’ War for their positive contributions towards instilling discipline and leadership among Nigerian youths. He acknowledged the importance of the partnership between the two organizations and pledged the continued support of the NSCDC in areas such as training, capacity building, and intelligence sharing.
