The State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ebonyi State Command, Nnadi Francis Chika says no security outfit can singlehandedly carry out security operations and succeed. He made this remark yesterday during his courtesy visit to the Commander, Nigeria Drug law Enforcement Agency, Ebonyi State Command Mr Peter Ogar.
Commandant Nnadi observed that sharing of intelligence and collaboration in areas of core mandate would enhance operational efficiency. He asserted that he was on the courtesy visit to shore up the existing synergy between the two offices which he said should be taken to the next level.
The NSCDC boss who recalled his long standing relationship with the NDLEA, appreciated the Commander for the warm reception accorded him, and promised to continually remain supportive of him to make Ebonyi better, safer or even drug-free
Responding, Commander, Ogar thanked Commandant Nnadi for deeming it fit to make his office the first port of call, upon assumption of office in Ebonyi State. He charged him not to view his posting to Ebonyi as a punishment but as necessary rite of passage to a higher calling.
He wished him well in his endeavors as he hoped for a more robust collaboration. According to him, NDLEA in Ebonyi used to depend on DSS for arm bearing operations but with the coming of NSCDC, a new frontier of opportunities abound for future joint operations between the two agencies.
Commandant Nnadi was accompanied on the visit by the heads of intelligence and investigation, Operations department as well as those of medical, forensic and legal units
